Tomorrow's Smart factory will incorporate new and better versions of the legacy solutions used by the industry over the last 40+ years. Many of these will leverage AI/ML and comprehensive Digital Twins at the Tool, Process, Maintenance and Operational levels. However, to realize Semi's Autonomous Factory(Fab) vision will require a new capability not available today. We refer to it as a "Smart Control Room" in the Semi Smart Manufacturing Roadmap but it is way more than a traditional Control Room. It will autonomously collect all the disparate data from various sources and perform real time analysis on it to determine which actions are required to enable the optimal output of the factory(Fab) based upon the impact of each anomaly. This information will be used to provide clear task lists for each functional group in the factory(Fab). This talk will focus on the vision and the gaps in current solutions to enable it.
