At ESTAT we use flexible conductive and dielectric materials to make the world's lightest and most energy efficient clutches. Through a combination of novel mechanical design and unique flexible materials research and development, we make modular, flexible devices that act as a switchable "electric glue" that can transmit huge forces. Our solutions are initially targeted at serving the needs of the robotics industry but will also have broad applicability for lightweighting and low-power operations in transportation, materials handling, defense and beyond.
