Quantum computing (QC) promises high performance computing roadmap and this will lead a large value creation in all industry domains, ranging from energy, pharmaceuticals, finance... provided the industry is capable of fabricating millions of qubits. Si-based quantum computers are a promising approach to build these millions of qubits: silicon based qubits are of excellent quality, the semiconductor industry knows how to fabricate billions of identical objects and knows how to implement complex algorithms through integrated circuits. This opens the path for the design of powerful quantum integrated circuits.
