Mike Kropp, Co-Founder, CEO, and President of factory and tool automation software company, PEER Group, will share insight into the potential vulnerabilities associated with software that is used on semiconductor tools and in factories and the best practices companies follow to mitigate these concerns. Mike will also provide an overview of SEMI E187 and E188, the new cybersecurity standards published by the SEMI Fab & Equipment Information Security and the SEMI Fab & Equipment Computer Device Security Task Forces. He will explain how the adoption of these Standards will provide a minimum layer of protection for factories against cyberattacks while noting further collaboration is required to truly develop an industry-wide defensive strategy to secure and safeguard manufacturing operations against threats.
