As CISO at ASML, Aernout implemented significant security capabilities for ASML (including a 10-fold increase in investments, and build a 250 + FTE organisation) in the domain of Information, IT, Human and Physical Security.
Starting as Director of IT Security in 2015 in ASML Aernout started the IT Security Competence Center and started enhancing Security in ASML: People, Processes, Technologies.
June 2021 the second ISO27001 certificate was achieved as an official mark towards achieving a decent degree of maturity in Security.
Became CISO of BT Global Services at the early age of 33 in recognition of continuous track record of solid execution and delivery.
While at BT, responsible for global security outside the UK. Brought security maturity to operational excellence level in 30 (mostly newly acquired) entities covering Security in the widest sense (Cyber, Physical, People, Information).
