Dr. Nancy Stoffel, PhD, Principal Scientist, GE Research
Nancy is a Materials Science focused on focused on materials, process development and reliability for electronics integration working on a broad spectrum of technologies. At present, Nancy is GE Research’s Flexible Hybrid Electronics Platform Leader with a focus on industrial applications of printed electronic systems and electronics packaging, with applications in medical wearables and in industrial sensing. She studied Materials Science earning a PhD in Materials Science from Cornell University. She has worked at the intersection of materials science and electronics integration,with applications including multichip module development, inkjet printhead design, MEMS and microfluidic systems, optoelectonic packaging, and sensor integration for harsh environments.
Nancy serves as GE’s representative on the Flextech governing board, the Nextflex consortia Board of Governors, and co-leads the Integration and Packaging Working Group. She was recognized for her technical contributions by being named a Next Flex Fellow. She is a Senior Member of the IEEE, active in the IEEE Electronic Packaging Society serving on the executive council, a member of the Heterogeneous Integration Roadmapping team, and served as the 2021 General Chair of the IEEE ECTC, the premier electronics packaging conference.
