Lindsay is a PhD candidate and NSF Graduate Research Fellow in Materials Science & Engineering at Northwestern University. She received her B.S. from UCLA in Chemistry/Materials Science where she worked with Dr. Richard Kaner. After graduating, she began at a small UCLA-based spinoff called SuperMetalix where she worked to bring academic work on superhard materials to market. In 2018, she joined Dr. Mark Hersam’s group at Northwestern. Her work focuses on large-scale synthesis of graphene nanoplatelets and the development of printable functional inks. She has also worked extensively with aerosol jet printing and screen printing for producing printed electronic devices.
