COO
Roadtrip Nation, CA, United States
Brian is a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Roadtrip Nation. He oversees the development and delivery of Roadtrip Nation’s products, programs, media production, and content distribution across digital platforms and broadcast outlets. He focuses on sustaining Roadtrip Nation’s approach of human-centered storytelling while scaling the impact of its users.
Upon graduation, Brian hit the road with two college friends in an old, green RV to interview leaders across America and learn how they got to where they are today. That roadtrip was featured in Forbes Magazine and later turned into the book, Roadtrip Nation: A Guide to Discovering Your Road in Life (Random House). The first book was released in 2003 and was highly publicized through outlets such as NBC's Today Show, CBS News, NPR, BBC News, Newsweek, USA TODAY, Outside Magazine, Esquire Magazine and many others. Following the book launch, Brian cofounded Roadtrip Nation to offer other learners that same experiential learning opportunity. The organization produces a variety of annual, multi-media content productions, including the Roadtrip Nation television series on PBS and the Roadtrip Nation Experience Curriculum, which empowers students and educators in under-served communities to connect their education to the real world. Since 2008 over 300,000 students have built their own Roadtrip Projects by participating in The Roadtrip Nation Experience curriculum, and the annual Roadtrip Nation Documentary Series which broadcasts to over 70,000,000 households each year.
