Director of CollegeNow
Tompkins Cortland Community College
For almost two decades, Victoria Zeppelin has worked at Tompkins Cortland Community College as the Director of CollegeNow to build partnerships with area school districts. Through the CollegeNow program, high school students earn college credits to get a head start on their future college and career pathways. Most of the courses are concurrent enrollment, meaning that they are taken within the high school and are taught by teachers whose credentials and curriculum have been approved by the College. To increase access, these concurrent enrollment courses are offered at no cost to students and schools. Students may take courses in liberal arts and technical fields, even earning an Associate's degree while in high school. Relevant to SEMICON West, Victoria is collaborating with a local vocational center to design and implement a CTE program for 11-12th graders to earn a microcredential in micro-nano fabrication that is aligned with the growing semiconductor industry in NY.
Victoria is a leader in concurrent and dual enrollment community both in New York and nationally. She is an active member of NACEP, serving as Secretary to the Board and past Accreditation Commission Chair, and regularly advises New York's community colleges, SUNY, and NYSED on matters related to high school-college partnerships.
