Greg Kepner, M. Ed., holds a master’s degree in Higher Education from Iowa State University, a baccalaureate degree in Psychology from Buena Vista University, and an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Technology from Indian Hills Community College. Greg serves as a Co-PI of MNT-EC, the Micro Nano Technology Education Center, a national NSF-ATE center and PI (Principal Investigator) of the ATE Collaborative Outreach and Engagement Project. Greg previously served as the PI of MPEC Midwest Photonics Education Center (ATE Regional Center) and as a Co-Principal Investigator for OP-TEC, the NSF-ATE National Center for Optics and Photonics Education. He is retired from Indian Hills Community College where he served as Department Chair, Advanced Manufacturing. Greg previously taught automation, robotics, and electronics. At IHCC, he developed an Early College program in which high school students earn post-secondary credits towards an AAS degree in Lasers/Optics, Robotics/Automation, or Electronics Engineering. He has work experience as a Senior Field Service Engineer in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. He is currently serving as a Mentor for Mentor-Connect and MentorLinks and has served on the board of the Iowa ACTE (Association of Career and Technical Education), is a member of the ACTE IAED (Inclusion, Access, Equity, and Diversity) Advisory Group and is past member of the ACTE Region III Policy Committee and past president for the Iowa ACTE and Iowa Industrial Technology Education Association.
