Franz Selbmann received his Bachelors and consecutive Masters degree in Electronic and Sensor Materials at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, in 2012 and 2015, respectively, after completing his masters thesis in the field of Parylene encapsulation at Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS. Completing a research stay at the Tohoku University in 2016, he started to work for a PhD developing Parylene as a material for microsystems and flexible devices. Besides being a member of the department System Packaging at Fraunhofer ENAS, he heads the group “Flexible devices” at the Institute for Electronic and Sensor Materials at TU Freiberg since 2019.
