Semiconductor manufacturing operations produce what is arguably the highest-technology product ever produced in volume; but the competitive nature of the semiconductor business often results in supply chain operations that are fractured, difficult to synchronize, and only semi-transparent. Fortunately, a variety of tools are available to improve the timeliness and visibility of critical supply chain data, and to turn that data into actionable intelligence. IBM will discuss three approaches that semiconductor companies can use to obtain better understanding of, and control over their supply chain operations.
