It is no secret that the semiconductor industry is facing an unprecedented level of demand, and obtaining and retaining talent to work in fabs has become extremely challenging. To meet these challenges and remain relevant, legacy fabs must adapt with new technologies like Automated Guided Vehicles or AGVs An AGV based AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems) is one piece of this puzzle that enables legacy fabs to meet productivity goals. The purpose of this talk is to discuss the main considerations and challenges presented when opting for AGVs.
