Across the broad and diverse measurement science, standards, and technology mission space at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, cyber security is cross-cutting and critical for NIST and NIST stakeholders. NIST engages in a range of activities, including research, development, transition to practice, and standards development, to cultivate trust in technology through improved cybersecurity. Manufacturers and their supply chains increasingly depend on a broad range of programmable systems and devices that interact with the physical environment, including industrial control systems and building management systems. This presentation will provide an overview of NIST programs and resources that support manufacturers’ needs in cybersecurity, including the NIST Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, the NIST cyber security framework, and technical standards, reports, and implementation guidance documents. This presentation will close with a summary of new NIST activities for the CHIPS program and the connection to NIST cybersecurity activities.
